           Medicinal plants, also called medicinal herbs, have been founded and consumed in traditional medicine practices since prehistoric periods. Plants synthesise and produce hundreds of chemical compounds for curing including defence against insects, fungi, diseases, and herbivorous mammals. 
      It have been used against enormous types of  diseases for thousands of years, and 80% of the worldwide population still depends on herbal medicines. 
This have always played a vital role as sources and incretiens for drug lead compounds. Early humans, driven by their instinct, taste, and experience, treated and prevented their illnesses by using these medical plants; hence, the history of medicinal plants is as long as the history of humans. 
     If we want to use if as a medicine we should consult a proper and professional ayurvedic or siktha doctor to make sure which medical plants,how to and when to take them to cure particular disease or disorders.
